EDIT: I apologize for having commented here. Everybody makes mistakes. What is happening here on this thread is absolutely preposterous.
You win, sir.
This tickled my funny bone. Bad mistake, and honestly would suck ...
So much win <3
shut up retards, anyone can make mistakes.
Grow up people. This is github, not 4chan. Sure, the author made a mistake. Maybe some gentle ribbing is appropriate --- but I don't think the image macros really add anything to the discussion --- or this world.
welcome to you're doom!
New, better Bleachbit!
I killed my my home folder this way once, it happens to the best of us.
lol, for realz
welp, your software is now really really well known!
This made my day...
I'm 12, what is this?
Just as planned
All your /usr are belong to us.
Hey MrMEEE, don't take it personally... people are just cheering because, seriously, it's fun :) Nobody is blaming you - 1/3 of the comments said "it happens to everyone" and I think nobody intended to offend you.
I'm a hugefan of Bumblebee, using it on my brand new Clevo laptop, and it's a real life-saver (and battery-saver ;)). What you're doing is awesome - just let people cheer, laugh with them and be happy!
"Sometimes even the wisest of men and machines can be in error." -Optimus Prime
@MrMEEE as two people said above: it caused some stir in the interwebz. but i guess it’s great advertisement for bumblebee. never heard about it before, now i did.
that's a hall-of-fame bug
Thank you so much ! :-D
So... Is this the longest commit comment list on GitHub yet?
It is now
Well it is BEER-WARE:
wow that got really big.
best reason to use "safe-rm" command
what is that /usr folder and why do I need that?
How about a compilation of worst bugs on GitHub? ;)
Thank you for the small reminder that this happens to everyone... and not just me.
Don't be too hard on yourself. :)
Don't wanna feel left out ... comment.
haha ... I should do something similar to my own projects ... maybe I'd get lots of people into the project that way :D.
haha ... I should do something similar to my own projects ... maybe I'd get lots of people into the project that way :D.
ZOMG, +10 for the beer-ware license. That is just awesome. :D
In any case, this "discussion" brought me a lot of happiness (and still is). It can happen to anyone and I really find the Interwebz' reaction to this very fun. It would be a little bit "distasteful" if it snuck into a "stable" release, but pushing something like this to GitHub is inevitable and ... well, not harmless, but excusable. :P We're all human, many of us doing open source work in the evening when we're drained from the day. I know I've done related things to myself before. To me the enjoyment was a combination of relating to the bug and laughing at the memes applied. :D I also noted how much publicity it garnered (though I hope people don't abuse it).
In short, \o/
Priceless. Just like Eve Online once did to Windows users: http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=526
@iki Refer to:
Line 351 is the offending code, right inside the case block for Ubuntu (on line 327).

why can't i post any comments???
MrMEEE commented 1 day ago
Yeah... I was very tired that night...
Unfortunately, when prompt "Press Any Key to continue." almost
everything hangs up and Ubuntu hangs up, restarts etc. didn't work, I
had have to manually uninstall everything or reinstall system.
I thinking that something is messed up with bashrc or sh because in few seconds I cannot execute any command in other terminal.
Am I doing something wrong?
Hope You can help me.

you get a space in histroy ^_^
I saw this and had to comment, and now I'm getting 50 comments a day. I contacted support and it turns out that while you can disable email notifications you can't stop them from ending up in your github inbox. Thank goodness I've never had a relevant comment on anything I've ever done here as the message(s) would have gotten lost amongst those from this one commit alone.
Oops, I just made one more comment for everyone.
DON'T WORRY. BE HAPPY!
And this typo, space, would destroy nothing if only you would use quotes. Shame on you.
I wrote a sinatra app to grab all images here and put them in one page. Have fun.
Chuck Norris can restore a system after a bumblebee instalation ....without a keyboard HAHAHAHAHAHAH
So glad that I saw this as a joke before I really installed it...
I dunno why you say he didnt do testing. I can assure he did... on another computer.
Good for MrMEEE, he did not test it!
We need a "like" or "+1" button on GitHub!
This just got linked on /. so prepare for a new round of comments. Seriously funny commit! I had never heard of Bumblebee before now so I think I'll check it out.
For those of you who bitch about email notifications, here is the solution:
I'd like to point out a few things to all those who complain about notifications:
1) You are complaining in the wrong place. GitHub Support is the right one. (And their lethargy is not my/our fault.)
2) If you didn't want to receive notifications from this commit, you shouldn't have commented yourselves in the first place.
3) You can still remove all your comments from here, that should help.
4) LOL U MAD? =P
EDIT: sorry I shouldn't have been mean towards github. Github's admins are doing excellent job!
So if I write a post, everybody gets notified ?
Go on http://www.flood.fr
BTW, this page is epic.
I came from the far reaches of the internet to lol at this. Again.
Just wanted to be part of such a funny incident :D LOL
I am commenting just to amaze my friends.
Kilroy was here.
The meme pool is now closed due to bumblebee.
Lol, this is till alive? Nice!
This has to be the worst bug in the history.

Well... I think this may not be fair to laugh at the programmer for a mistake that everyone may make.
omg~~man ,you are brilliant!!
I laughed every time saw this, even three years later.
Now fk nix for spreading sht across the f*king file system! Time to switch to GoboLinux! or W1ND0W5!
