On this page you can find links to graphs displaying the total domain count per TLD zone. The data collected stems from the gTLD zone files as well as the zone files or the various statistics that are available for some of the ccTLDs. (See this page for a little bit more background information.)

Some of those stats are not updated daily, but only refreshed periodically; other times, jumps in the domain counts might be explained by data processing errors on my part.

As of 2023-09-20, this page shows stats for 1310 TLDs (1276/1464 or around 87.16% of currently valid TLDs; 34 now inactive TLDs), counting a total of 348,261,410 second-level domains. You can download a compressed JSON file containing all stats from here.
